The Ethical Clothing Pledge & a Gift for Gabby

After being inspired by one of my all time favorite blogs, Clutterpunk, Ive taken the Ethical Clothing Pledge started by ISIS.  This means I'm choosing to only wear clothing that is one or more of the following:

1. Pre-loved
2. Handmade (preferably by me)
3. Reconstructed
4. Made with ethical / environmentally friendly materials
5. Made by a company with strong ethical policy & workers' rights

Isn't this just the best idea! Thanks girls. x

I needed a gift for a 4 year old birthday party tomorrow so I made this little apron. I used the free Skip to My Lou pattern but I made it single sided instead of the double sided version she demonstrates. Her instructions are really easy to follow - I've never sewn a ruffle before today. Its repurposed from a pillowcase I purchased at an op shop for $1. So far Ive gotten two aprons out of this pillow case and could probably fit another two, so I think that is pretty good value. :-)  The little tag is just made with some string, a pin and some kraft coloured card.  Easy Peasy.

  1. I love your apron! I remember getting a similar style apron as a little girl and loving it!
