This is a story of two little boys who loved Nemo. Mummy wanted to make her babies very happy so she painted a Nemo room complete with bubbles. Although Nemo was desperately cross-eyed her boys were very happy to be sleeping in the sea. Then one of the little boys grew up and moved into his own room. The littlest boy now had to share with his little sister. Mummy had the challenge of how to update a room that would make one little boy and one little girl equally happy.
So she thought and thought.....the littlest boy slept under a green leaf at night..... and the little miss slept under a cover with birdies..... so mummy decided to grow a magical tree in the room. :-D
Before....
Its actually very easy to paint a tree mural. I must stress I am NOT an expert but just a girl who likes to have a go. Maybe you might like to know what I did??.....
Step 2. using a craft knife gently cut out all the messy pieces on the inside like this....

to make your tree look like this .....

Step 3. Paint the tree in the same colour as your wall. This was if the first layer bleeds under your tape you (hopefully) wont see it.
Step 4. Paint two coats of your tree colour. The best advice I can give you is paint a thin coat. I was trying to finish the entire tree during my daughters two hour nap and painted mine too thick and you can see my brush strokes. I used a custom colour made up from a mix of sample pots (Dulux Pale Tendril & Dulux Colombia with a tiny bit of Jo Jo Sonjas Carbon Black mixed in). After the first coat if you need to, you can sand before your second coat.
Step 5: Gently Peel away blue tape. Moving slowly and carefully.
Step 6. Decorate with pretty papers. The best part is you can change the patterns and pictures. I plan to decorate with bugs, leaves, birds, hearts, and maybe even some photos hanging of this little tree. It will be fun to change it around with the seasons don't you think?Hugs
